In Like a Lion...Out Like a ????

Well... March was eventful! On the first day of the month rob was diagnosed with testicular cancer. They did an X-Ray and ultrasound that day and a CT scan the next morning. We went straight from hospital back to the Dr. and scheduled surgery for the 3rd. Surgery went well (all things considered) and after the usual post-op GI distress he was on his way to recovery. He started radiation a week or so later and will finish up on April 6! He has been awfully tired and nauseas. He finds he doesn't want to eat but if he does he feels much better. The whole thing was a bit surreal. You never really anticipate sitting in the oncologists office. I went to pick up his prescription and Surprise! -It was written for a cancer drug! Weird! At times we grew weary but with only 2 treatments left our gray skies are turning blue! And in perfect form our awesome, amazing, unbelievable family and friends swooped in and saved the days! How do you thank people for providing crazy amounts of service... for the past FIVE YEARS!!! Rob and I are grateful and yet a tad embarrassed that we have been so needy for so long. We go to bed at night and wake up in the morning overwhelmed. Not so much by our circumstances but by the love we are surrounded by. Thanks so much to all of you!!! And we love you all!! We can't wait for the day when we can start giving back.
Now on to things of a more cheerful nature! Both of our babies have been well. Taylor is back in school. I went to his parent-teacher conference and his teacher says he is doing so well. He is more social with the other kids and they love him. He is finally loving school again! We are going to request he stays with the same teacher next year and hope to see even more improvements. Alda is growing right up and has started to smile...So CUTE!
The big girls are growing up too. Just when we think Annakiah is done-She grew another inch! 5ft 4in now! And on her way to Bountiful High! YIKES! Bailey's growth is not so much physical- She's still tiny. But socially.. she is coming alive! And ready for Millcreek Junior High! I'm not. So I guess we'll say March went out like a limb?
But no complaints.. It's April now and things are getting better by the minute..Easter Candy!!!
